Howard Hall sworn-in as Roanoke County’s new police chief

Howard Hall, Roanoke County’s new police chief, took his Oath of Office on Aug. 13 at the Roanoke County Courthouse. Hall comes to Roanoke County after 25 years with the Baltimore County Police Department.

Judge Charles Dorsey administered the oath before a packed courtroom, including members of the Board of Supervisors, local law enforcement officials, county administrative staff, and Hall’s wife and son.

Also in attendance were the two former Police Chiefs Ray Lavinder and John Cease. This was Hall’s first official day on the job.
