Orientation at Glenvar High School on Thursday, Aug. 16
Glenvar High School held their 9th grade and new student orientation on Thursday, Aug 16.
Students and parents congregated in the auditorium while principal Joe Hafey gave them the beginning of the year speech. Afterwards, the new students split from their parents and broke up into groups to complete a scavenger hunt. Varsity cheerleaders were stationed at different places throughout the school, waiting for students with bags and boxes full of candy.
The first day of school for Roanoke County Schools is Tuesday, Aug. 21.
