Salem superintendent and teacher at governor’s K-12 Education Reform Summit

Here is a picture of Delegate Greg Habeeb along with Salem Superintendent Dr. Alan Seibert and Salem teacher Amanda Gibson at Governor Bob McDonnell’s K-12 Education Reform Summit.  The picture was taken Aug. 16 at the Richmond Marriott where the Summit is taking place.

Ms. Gibson sat on the first panel of the day titled “The Teaching Profession: Perspectives from the Classroom.”

“There was lots of interest here in Richmond in Salem’s ‘strategic compensation’ model.  Superintendent Dr. Alan Seibert and his system are real leaders,” Habeeb said of the Education Summit.  “I was impressed with all of the teachers, administrators, and policymakers here.  All of these folks are real innovators. We must improve on the status quo.”
