Bethel Baptist Car Show set for Sept. 29
We are having our 4th annual custom car, truck, motorcycle and tuner (import) car show at the Salem Civic Center on September 29, 2012.
Our show is put on by a group of about 38 Bethel Baptist church members. We have the show to promote fellowship between car lovers of all ages and backgrounds. We provide the opportunity to all participants and spectators to visit our Bethel Baptist tent if they have a prayer need for any reason, such as financial, spiritual, personal or family illness, etc. Additionally, it is a great place to “come out and meet old friends and make new ones”. The show proceeds are used as a fund raiser for various church activities and mission outreach.
We elect NOT to have a judged show as judging tends to alienate instead of build fellowship. However, each show participant is given a beautiful 9×12 plaque at the show end with their vehicle picture taken during registration. There is also the awarding of 4 “favorite in show vehicles” (car, truck, bike, tuner) show boards (valued at $200 each) as voted on by the show participants. Door prizes are also awarded during the show hours. Great food, drinks and baked items from sponsors and by our church family are also on sale during the day.
This year we have about 10 vendors supporting our show by showing their products along with drawings throughout the day for door prizes. We also have a Car Show Program that is given out during the show that is filled ads from over 30 sponsor that support our show financially.
