A big ‘thank you’ to Salem from Ann Whitenack

The flower bed at the intersection of College Avenue and Colorado Street in Salem. / Photo courtesy of Ann Whitenack.

I could be found in one of the many flower beds around Salem that Laura Reilly, Horticulturist for the City, designed. My name isn’t important but I think my job was: I maintained  all the city’s beds this past season.

So many people drove or walked by while I was weeding, watering or pruning and expressed your appreciation for the beauty of all the flowers this year.  It was nice to know that my job made so many happy.

I wanted to thank everyone for all your nice comments; they made my job so much more enjoyable. Thank you!
