Fort Lewis Baptist Church hosts first-ever pumpkin patch through Oct. 31
Fort Lewis Baptist Church in Glenvar is hoping the community will come out to support the church’s first-ever Pumpkin Patch! The Pumpkin Patch opened to the public on Monday, Oct. 8 and will continue to operate through Oct. 31.
To get ready for the sale and fundraiser, dozens of church members and volunteers recently helped unload a tractor trailer of more than 600 pumpkins and gourds of all shapes and sizes. The Pumpkin Patch is a fundraiser for the church’s children and youth ministries.
Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm. It will be closed on Sundays.
Special events for the entire family are planned for Friday evenings and Saturdays. Here are some of the upcoming weekend activities:
- Friday, Oct 19: Inflatable obstacle course, music and bonfire
- Saturday, Oct 20: Hay rides, food samples, games, and crafts
- Friday, Oct 26: Popcorn, games, and bonfire
- Saturday, Oct 27: Hay rides, food samples, games, and crafts
The Pumpkin Patch will draw to a close on Halloween night, Oct. 31. Evening activities for kids include a bounce house, hay rides, trunk-or-treating, games and a bonfire.
