Photos: Pumpkinfest returns to Salem
Despite the impending ‘Frankenstorm‘, which will affect our area Monday and Tuesday (Kevin Myatt of the Roanoke Times has more at his Weather Journal), pumpkin- and Halloween-lovers from all over the area turned out in droves for this year’s Pumpkinfest at the Salem Farmers Market.
Children and adults alike showed off their best Halloween attire as everyone enjoyed sweet treats, inflatables, face painting, a magician and–of course–pumpkins!
The annual festival, put on by Q99 and Salem Parks and Recreation, cost $1.99 (children wearing costumes got in free), with proceeds benefiting Child Health Investment Partnership (C.H.I.P.).
