Valley AFC U15 team with 2 Salem residents goes undefeated at Virginia Cup tournament
The Valley AFC U15 Boys Black team — including William St. Onge and Adam Mitchell of Salem — came in as finalists, ending undefeated, in the Virginia Cup soccer tournament in Richmond on Labor Day weekend. After a very tight tournament, their weekend record was 2 wins and 2 ties as follows:
■VAFC Win 3-1 vs Smithfiled Fire
■VAFC Tie 2-2 vs Stafford Revolution 97
■VAFC Tie 0-0 vs SOL Futbol Select
■VAFC Win 1-0 vs Chesterfield United FC 97
