Photos: Annie Lin at Romney Victory Rally in Lynchburg
Annie Lin shares these photos and writes:
On Monday, November 5, 2012, I went to Lynchburg to join Mitt Romney and The Republican Team for a Victory Rally at Virginia Aviation/Lynchburg Regional Airport.
I went to there at 7:00am. The doors opened at 10:00am. The event began at 12:00pm. When the doors opened people passed the security checks and ran to get the best spot to see Mitt Romney.
I have never been to Lychburg Regional Airport. The day I saw Mitt Romney waving to supporters. He appeared in Lynchburg with Republican U.S. Senate Candidate George Allen, Liculenant Governor Bill Bolling, and Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell. I saw his private jet covered with the campaign’s familiar Romney-Ryan “R”. After he made the short walk from his plane to the podium at Lynchburg Regional Airport. A crows of people shouted and cheered “USA!!! Romney!!!”
“Do you want four more years like the last four years?” Romney asked the crowd which responded with a collective no.” Or do you want real change?” That’s why I’m running for President. I know how to change the nation, now to get it back on course, how to create jobs, how to get a balanced budge, how to get a rise in take home pay.” The former Massachusetts Governor also brought up a topic that is relatively new to his campaign stump speeches, public education. Romney said It’s a problem that President Obama won’t fix. “He’ll do what his largest campaign supporters, the public sector unions, insist on and your kids will have the same schools with the same results,” Romney said “When I’m President I’ll be a voice of the children and their parents because there is no union for the PTA.”
Finally, “The door to a brighter future is open, It’s waiting for us,” he said. “I need your vote, I need your work. Walk with me, walking together, tomorrow we’re going to begin a new tomorrow.”
I held “Vote for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan on Tuesday, November 6th” sign. I saw Romney victory Rallies many times. Today is the last campaign event, tomorrow is new history. I got to shake hands with him, but no autograph. I had a picture with Bob McDonnell. He said “You are a volunteer”. I had a picture with Liberty University’s Jerry Falwell, Jr. and Romney’s jet with background. I like a sign “GET OUT AND VOTE VIRGINIA” and I held “Vote For Love of Country” with “REAL CHANGE ON DAY ONE” background.
