RIP City to host baseball clinic with major league pitching coach Jim Hickey Nov. 17

For the second year in a row, Dave Christianson will host major league baseball pitching coach Jim Hickey of the Tampa Rays on Saturday, Nov. 17., at Rip City Training Center, from noon to 5 p.m.
Hickey will teach coaches, players and parents about:
- pitching
- pitching mechanics
- pitching approach
- what scouts look for
- playing at the professional level
- how to take care of your arm
- how to make your arm stronger
- hitting mechanics
Hickey will also host a Q&A session and he’ll be signing autographs.
The clinic is “priced to encourage fathers and sons” to attend, Christianson says. Admission is $95 for a player and a parent. Christianson will be taking up to 200 people, and registration is open until Saturday, Nov. 17.
