Roanoke County police ask for public’s help solving theft at Interstate Battery

The Roanoke County Police Department is asking for the public’s help to solve a case involving the theft of approximately $20,000 in used vehicle batteries.

Interstate Battery located at 3132 West Main St. was burglarized on two separate occasions – once on Oct. 26 and again Oct. 27. Large quantities of used vehicle batteries are considered valuable because of the lead they contain. In this case, about 200 batteries were taken from Interstate Battery.

Following a lead in the case, Roanoke County police executed a search warrant at a home in Southeast Roanoke earlier this week but can only say at this time that the investigation is continuing and that no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Roanoke County Police Detective A. Morris at 540-777-8635.
