Today is election day. The polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

We’ll have updates through the day on roanoke.com, and then election returns and analysis tonight. We especially call your attention to our Blue Ridge Caucus politics blog.

A reminder: At some polling places, you can both vote and get a flu shot. And voters in the Bennett Springs precinct in western Roanoke County will cast their ballots in a new location, at Mountain Pass Baptist Church.
