The second event in the 2012-2013 Performing Arts Series season at Roanoke College will be on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. in Olin Theater. The Staunton-based American Shakespeare Company on Tour will present Shakespeare’s extravagant romantic comedy, “Love’s Labour’s Lost.” Tickets are $12 general admission, $8 senior/student. Groups of eight or more are $5. Tickets are available by calling the Olin Hall Box Office at 540-375-2333, or online at www.roanoke.edu/tickets.

There are a limited number of on-stage seats available in addition to the regular house seating. Contact the Olin Box Office for more information.

From Blackfriar’s Playhouse in Staunton, the world’s only re-creation of Shakespeare’s indoor theatre, the American Shakespeare Center On Tour boasts nearly two decades’ worth of global touring experience. This elite troupe stands as one of America’s foremost providers of quality entertainment to performing and fine arts centers on both sides of the Atlantic.

In “Love’s Labour’s Lost,” the King of Navarre and his three school-mates are ripe for an education in love from the Princess of France and her three ladies. This joyful carnival of love, loss and hope is Shakespeare’s most exuberant wordfest. Be sure to come early for the 30-minute pre-show, beginning at 7 p.m. You won’t want to miss any of the boisterous antics of these performers.
