Gingerbread Festival returns to Salem again this year; open through Saturday, Dec. 8
The Gingerbread Festival has returned to Longwood Park, and this year marks the festival’s 10th year. All the delicious-looking entries are available for viewing at the offices of the Salem-Roanoke Chamber of Commerce, located in Longwood Park, now through Saturday, Dec. 8, when the Festival joins the lineup of Ye Olde Salem Christmas.
There are fewer entries this year than in years past, according to Debbie Kavitz, Executive Director of the Salem-Roanoke County Chamber of Commerce. But the quality of the entries is just as high, if not higher, she says.
The Chamber offices will be open Monday, Dec. 3 through Friday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 8, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Folks can visit the Carriage House to view the entries, vote for Best in Show or to bid on their favorite to add to their holiday decorations this year.
