Rep. Morgan Griffith, R-Salem, went to the home of a Salem man today to present him with military medals.

Peter Mortlock, a Vietnam veteran from Salem, was presented the Navy Good Conduct Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He served in the Navy from 1960 to 1964, but due to paperwork problems did not receive his medals then.

He recently contacted the congressman’s office, and Griffith helped get the medals issued.
