KIVA – Kids In the Valley, Adventuring! is hosting a Birthday Bash to celebrate five years of free family nature fun in the Roanoke Valley. The organization is collecting food for Feeding America Southwest Virginia Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m at Mill Mountain Discovery Center.

Instead of gifts, bring a canned food donation for our collection for Feeding America Southwest Virginia. KIVA has raised over 400 lbs. of food in the past. In 2009, the Chip and Ashley Donahue received a check for $1,000 from Family Fun Magazine to give to the charity of their choice. They chose Feeding America Southwest Virginia (http://www.faswva.org/). Over the years, the Donahues have continued to learn how hard this organization works to meet the needs of the people in our community.
