National Day of Service event in Salem announced for January 21

The Teen Outreach Program from Presbyterian Community Center is hosting a National Day of Service event on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The event, sponsored by Family Services of Roanoke Valley, will help raise money for cancer research. On January 21, 2013, “Strike out Cancer” will be held at Lee Hi Lanes located at 1830 Apperson Dr. in Salem. This event is to raise money for cancer research for the American Cancer Society.

The event is from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Tickets are $5 and can used for up to three games per ticket. Shoe rental is free.
