Photos: 10th annual Guns & Hoses Hockey Game
The 10th Annual Guns & Hoses Hockey Game was held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, January 4th, 2013 at the Roanoke Civic Center.
I was sick for few days, but I still took my son, Jerry Wu to see the Guns & Hoses Game. When we arrived there, a crowd of people was there. That was our first time to attend the event.
Guns & Hoses is the 10th annual charity Hockey Game between the Roanoke Valley Professional Firefighters and the Roanoke Area Law Enforcement Agencies. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. They had door prizes, sold raffle tickets, and chances to win a Hockey Jersey. Miss Smith Mountain Lake sang the American anthem, Lewis Gale Hockey Kids were present, and much, much more…
The home team was “Hoses.” At the final Hoses won 4-2. Jerry had a picture with Hoses’ #10 Josh Hull and his trophy. See!!! Jerry enjoyed the event, especially standing with them for autographs and pictures taken. A lady gave a puck to Jerry before we left the event.
I was “sick as a dog,” but I know Jerry and I never been to a Hockey Game. Tonight, the event raised $28,000 for charity.
Thank you to all of the sponsors; the event was great even though I did not feel well, I still enjoyed the event. Jerry enjoyed his popcorn, nachos, and drink.
