Photos: Annie Lin goes to Dickens of a Christmas

Friday, December 21, 2012 my son, Jerry and I went to Downtown Roanoke for Dickens of a Christmas and SPCA pet costume contest.

The weather was windy and chilly, the temperature was 30 degrees. We dressed up warm. When we arrived there, first, we went to the Roanoke City Market for a dinner. Jerry liked Chinese food there. After we walked down the street, we saw some activities such as play snow balls (Not really snow), carriage ride, photos with Santa, pet costume contest, magician show…

Jerry enjoyed playing snow balls, then we saw the pet costume contest. People dressed up their dogs as costume characters, horse drawn carriages, strolling carolers, marching bands, jugglers… We stood with a crowd of people to watch the event. I saw channel 10 reporter and she said “I like your outfit”. I said “Thank You and Merry Christmas!”.

It was very very cold, but we enjoyed the Dickens of a Christmas.
