Bukuru is 20-year-old from Africa refugee. He is one of about 110 participants in music LAB at Jefferson Center, an after-school performance and music business incubator.
I got Bukuru and Snarky Puppy’s concert from The Roanoke Times, and “Don’t forget to look for the paparazzi.” My son, Jerry and I went to the Roanoke Main Library at 6:00pm on Thursday, December 13, 2012 to see them.
First, we stood at the red carpet for the photos taken by The Roanoke Times Paparazzi.
It was a free and open to the public, we also got food and ice cream through out the show.
Bukur sang powerful songs; he had opened conversation, too. People asked him how long he has been in United States. I asked him, “What is your major at Virginia Western Community College?” He said, “A doctor”.
Everyone enjoyed his special songs. After his performance, I asked them for a group picture, and he signed an autograph for Jerry. I told him that I was graduated from Virginia Western Community College for my License Practice Nurse Association Degree.
We also met Snarky Puppy. That was a fun night with them. Jerry enjoyed his ice cream there.
