Roanoke County Parks and Rec sponsors 14th Annual Tons of Fun on Feb. 2

Roanoke County Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism along with Roanoke County Department of Economic Development, WSLS10, SteveFM and Tanglewood Mall are gearing up for another FREE “funtastic” day for families at Tanglewood Mall. From 10 AM – 4 PM on Saturday February 2, at the 14th annual event, magicians, inflatables, craft activities, rides, face painting and much more. In addition to this year’s entertainment are performances by DynoMight Amusements, whose family friendly puppet shows will have the young and old alike laughing and singing along. Kids will also love clowning around with PeaNut, GooBer and Boom Boom! Let’s also not forget Karaoke For Kids which is certain to be a big hit.

New this year is the exciting addition of the Roanoke County Camp Fair! It will provide a great opportunity for families to meet with representatives of summer camps throughout the Mid-Atlantic. What better way to find out which camp is right for your child? Door prizes will include free weeks at camp!

Children should also bring along their wildest imaginations to all the craft activities. Whether it’s decorating delicious cookies, making adorable necktie snakes or doggie salad, everyone will find something unique and fun to do. Each year we transform Tanglewood Mall into an indoor spectacular event sure to amuse and thrill children and their families all day long!

Local community organizations including Goodwill Industries of the Valleys, Roanoke Ballet Theatre, Roanoke County Police and Fire & Rescue, Taubman Museum of Art and many others are coming together to participate in this much-anticipated yearly event. The sponsorship support from Roanoke County Department of Economic Development and Tanglewood Mall make it possible for us to provide Tons of Fun FREE of charge!
