Fame Allstars Competitive Cheerleading of Roanoke traveled to Raleigh, NC, on Saturday, Jan. 26, to attend the Cheer and Dance Extreme Raleigh Rumble Open Championship. Despite the challenging weather, all six teams had superior performances and placed well.

Mini Glitter Level 1 placed third, Youth Diamonds Level 2 came in first, Junior Fierce Level 3 placed first, Senior Paparazzi Level 3 won first place, Senior Starstruck Level 4.2 came in first and Senior Couture Open International Level 5 also came in first.

Diamonds, Fierce, Starstruck and Couture all had the top score for their level, and Junior Fierce were Overall Grand Champions of the day. Both Junior Fierce and Senior Couture were awarded full paid bids to US Finals Nationals in Virginia Beach in May, the most prestigious national competition for all level teams. All four other teams have previously won first place bids to US Finals as well.

Salem athletes include Gage Barber, Samantha Batista, Chloe Henley, Morgan Miller, Arianna Oliver and Jordan Pratt.
