Photos: Snowy days in Salem with Annie Lin
Annie Lin shares these photos and writes:
A changeover from rain to snow between 3 and 8pm on Thursday, Jan 17, 2013. Snowfall amount of 3 to 5 inches were common in the Roanoke Valley.
That day, Roanoke City School closed early. Jerry rode Radar to school and back. He said “No School’, ‘Snow”.
The snow started when I was driving all way to the work. I saw heavy snow at Friendship Assisted Living area. I though how can I drive through my drive way to my carport? When I got home, I saw my side walk was already cleaned. A big question? “Who did it?” Do you believe or not? Jerry did!!! My special son shoveled the snow on the side walk and drive way. Thanks Jerry. Mom loves you !!!
Next day, we took snow pictures around my house ans my neighbors before sun came up, and the snow melted. I like to see snow on the tree, the ground, and the roof. Then, I took pictures at the Spring Duck Park. It was beautiful. You see, a flower, Amaryllis among my snow pictures.
Friday, Jan-25-2013. It snowed again, the school closed too. Oh! It was my lucky day off.
First, I asked Jerry to get snow pictures. See! My beautiful Amaryllis among my pictures. Then, Jerry shoveled the snow on the side walk and driveway. He liked the snow and played it, and throw the snow in the air. My neighbor told me he saw Jerry shoveling the snow and helped him on Thursday, Jan 17. I said “Thank You”.
When Jerry shoveled the snow, I saw that City of Salem’s snow truck had cleaned my street.
I like snow pictures, but I can not stand cold weather. Waiting, waiting, and waiting for Spring to come!!!
Please enjoy my pictures. Happy Snow Day!
