Adventure into the natural world this spring break! Spend a day practicing wilderness survival skills such as fire building and orienteering in a real wilderness setting. On day two, we will use these skills & some new ones to navigate to a hidden waterfall that few have seen. While hiking along the creek, we will keep our eyes peeled for aquatic life such as crayfish & helgamites. On day three, lookout for sinkholes & caves as we learn about the formation of caves and the animals that live in them. End the day with a trip to neighboring Dixie Caverns to explore a vast underground cave. The days will also consist of field games, nature crafts, and an opportunity to try out the rock climbing tower! Participants should be dropped off at 9 AM and picked up by 4PM at Camp Roanoke. Early drop-off at 8 AM and late pickup at 5 PM is available for an additional fee.
