Annie Lin shares these photos from the Catawba Valley Farmers Market and writes:
I saw “Here’s what’s at the Catawba Valley Farmers Market on Thursday” in So Salem. It was my work day off. I tool Jerry there.
Thursday, September 5, 2013 was our first time at the Catawba Farmers Market. We saw a “Welcome to the Catawba Valley Farmers Market” sign hung around the white tent booth. There were Fresh produce booths, such as pork, bacon, eggs, herbs, flowers…Baked goods booths had blueberry and peach muffins, chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, cakes, and many more…plus Craft booths and Fruit juice booth. Jerry bought lemonade, and I bought cookies from Red Wellie Farm booth, and Muffins from Meg’s booth.
Here was a lady to make her pottery at Mckeever Pottery booth. I was very interested in her method to make pottery. I took pictures her. I saw her hands make a very pretty pot just in front of my eyes. Please visit at MckeeverPottery.com
There was flying Davenports band at the special event tent. They saw us and said “We like both of your T-shirts”. they played many instrument, such as banjo, violin, glockenspiel, oboe, flute and more…
They signed the autographs on our t-shirts. Through the music suddenly the wind blew the white tents away from the booths, people helped to put it back over the tablets.
I met Kati Span, who is a manger of the Catawba Framers Market. I told her that I found the event information from So Salem”.
You saw my purple hat in the pictures. It was my co-worker Marlene’s late mother’s hat. Her mother died at age 92 on August 14, 2013. She came from England and Marlene said “It was her English hat”.
I am also sending my pictures with my beautiful garden. The tomatoes grew earlier than. The giant white hydrangeas which are so pretty.
It was my day to relax and walk around and listen to music at Catawba Valley Framers Market.
