Bojangles' at the Lake
New fast food will land at Smith Mountain Lake in late April.
Bojangles’ is slated to open at the LakeWatch Plantation, a 479-acre commercial and residential development that sits northeast of the Westlake Town Center off Virginia 122. The new restaurant will measure 4,757 square feet and have a drive-through, said David Arrington, who is president of Arrington Enterprises, a franchisee for the chain.
The company is hiring about 50 employees to work at the new Bojangles'. Arrington Enterprises owns two other locations for the restaurant in Franklin County. It also owns three Dairy Queen restaurants in Franklin County and one in Danville.
Other businesses at LakeWatch Plantation will include a YMCA, a funeral home and some retailers.

GregAny idea why Arby's has scrapped plans to build on Plantation Rd. near Carpetland? Also, and ideas on when the new Bojangles under construction on Peters Creek Rd is scheduled to open

JennyGreg, I haven't heard about why Arby's no longer is coming to Plantation Road. Also, I need to catch up with the owner of a new Bojangles' planned for Peters Creek Road. He told me last October that he wanted the restaurant to open by January, though that obviously hasn't happened yet. I'll hopefully have updates on these items soon!

GregThanks for checking into those items Jenny. As a fellow person addicted to retail happenings, thanks for keeping us informed of all the things going on. Speaking of going on, I was near Britol today and noticed they have a Chili's right there off of 81 in the middle of nowhere. Why is again that we don't have one?
