Update on Chocolatepaper’s move

Happy Friday, everyone!

If you by chance have an urge to buy chocolate, cards or other sweet treats this weekend from Chocolatepaper in Southwest Roanoke County, keep in mind that the retailer closed its doors this week at its store at 3260 Electric Road, near Ruby Tuesday. It is packing up and relocating to a new Roanoke County spot at the Shoppes at West Village, also on Electric Road, next week.

Melissa Palmer, an owner of Chocolatepaper, told me that the store will open by next Friday, if not earlier, at its new spot on the front side of the Shoppes at West Village, near Pino Gelato. Its new storefront will be slightly smaller than its former digs.

Along with the relocation, Chocolatepaper is transforming its downtown Roanoke store into its main warehouse location for storing inventory and operating its online sales business.

Palmer said Chocolatepaper also is exploring additional locations for new stores, and it has considered spots in the Smith Mountain Lake area and in Charlottesville.

Chocolatepaper will host a grand opening celebration, complete with giveaways and free samples for shoppers, at its new West Village store on June 3 and 4.

  1. Jenny, since you are still posting in this blog, why is The Storefront no longer appearing under “Latest blog entries” on the main page? Doesn’t seem fair to you and your readers.
