Just a response to @terri comment about bad working conditions. Virginia does not require employers to give either short mid shift breaks or lunch breaks of any kind. Remember if things are too bad you can always quit.

Used to eat Popeyes in Delaware about 20 years ago. Thought it was pretty good good then. Live around the corner (much too close) from Bo's now. When the crowds thin will give Popeyes a try.

Nice to hear about Steak and Shake. I eat at the Battleground and Wendover Ave. ones in Greensboro fairly often. Great shakes!!!

Wanted to give them a try today. Well I sure hope their chicken is as great as I read on here. High prices and people so dumb behind the counter they can't answer a simple question of "how long do you think it will take" without looking at you like you just asked the the million dollar question. Yes I understand they were busy. But I'm on my dinner break and could not stand there waiting 20+ minutes just to get my food.
Looking at there prices it darn well better be good.

Popeye's chicken is very good, just as is Bojangles. I do think Bojangles has backed off their spicy quotient a little in the last few years. Bo's has better biscuits. Popeye's has good biscuits, and cole slaw, but then you're left struggling for a second vegetable. I usually get the green beans, though they're not that great. Bojangles has the pinto beans which are excellent. I'm not a fan of rice, so that negates those options. Regardless, good luck to Popeye's.

Food was wonderful and the people working were very friendly. It did take a few extra minutes but the lines were 5-10 people deep so I expected it. SOOO much better than Bojangles.

food was great chicken nice and spicey and crunchey not greasy like bojangles and KFC....however the prices seemed to high 2pc breast meal $9.00! and the side I chose dirty rice was not even full. After I place my order it took 20min to get my food, I then ask for hot sauce and I was told they were out....Not a good way to start and opening.

Okay if you say so but there are some of the same people that were at Paradise Grill at Popeyes seems too familiar to me. Not getting anymore from there tasted different on the two different occasions I visited. First time nice, hot and spicy, second not the same. Prices are too high to in other areas the prices are not this high. $3.99 for large sides is too expensive and the size is not large. And Paradise Grill was funny, there was NEVER a line in fact very few people went there, would think he would want a piece of Popeyes to get some of that money back from having a lousy restaurant that made no money.

Get someone from Bojangles to make your biscuits friend those are not even close. In fact, if Bojangles would spice up their chicken like it used to be they would give you a run for your money. Their sides too, are lousy that rice is too soupy and lacks in taste.

Employees seem very young and what about those breaks someone said as I was getting food I have only had a 5 min break all day been here since 12 and it was 9 at night and her back was hurting. Seems horrible working conditions.
