Thrift store benefitting nonprofits debuts in Vinton

A new thrift store that will benefit local non-profits is holding an open house today.

Charity Cottage Thrift Store at 301 S. Pollard Street in Vinton is a project of the The Advancement Foundation, which serves the poor and supports nonprofits in the Roanoke Valley.

A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 12:30 p.m., with an open house to follow. The open house will feature refreshments, craft tables and booths with information about the nonprofits the thrift store will benefit, and a presentation about the foundation and the store.

I’ll have more details on the thrift store in Sunday’s Retail Roundup column.
