Texas Steakhouse & Saloon is no more – at least in the Roanoke area.
The Valley View restaurant closed yesterday, according to Rick Rountree, a spokesman for Boddie-Noell Enterprises, the company that owns the steakhouse.
This comes two months after the Roanoke County Texas Steakhouse closed.
Rountree would not elaborate on the reason for the most recent closing, except to say: “It was strictly a business decision on a restaurant-by-restaurant basis.”
Here’s what he wrote in a statement.
Boddie-Noell Enterprises has made the decision to close the Texas Steakhouse located at 5025 Valley View Blvd., effective Monday, Oct. 24th. “We have enjoyed being part of the Roanoke area and this truly was a difficult business decision for us,” said Mike Boddie, president of Boddie-Noell Enterprises’ restaurant division.
We thank our Texas Steakhouse employees at this location for all they’ve done and our guests for their patronage. With the decision made, our focus and concern is now for our people.
Following the closing Boddie-Noell will have 22 Texas Steakhouse locations in Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina.
The company also owns Hardee’s and several other restaurants.
Rountree did not know how many people the Valley View restaurant employed.
