Roanoke Bagel Company to reopen in new location

Roanoke Bagel Co. will close tomorrow (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. and will reopen in its new location next Thursday at 6:30 a.m.

The Roanoke county company is currently located at the Southwest Plaza at the intersection of Electric and Grandin roads, the bakery will move across the street into the Oak Grove Plaza, according to its co-owner, Amelia Goldacker.

The new place will add more space, more seating, a children’s play area and a conference room for business meetings.

    Just glad they’re staying open… a town with no reputable NY bagel place is no place I wanna live in…

    A recent food website rated Dunkin Dohnuts everything bagel as the best in the US, but the category was for named brands.

    Dunkin donuts bagels are horrid. They’d only taste good to someone who’d never had a decent bagel.

    Most chain bagels are basically dinner rolls with holes in the middle. At least Roanoke Bagels boils them.

    Joey, I think that’s exactly what they did before they first opened. Of course, that’s been awhile. Maybe these aren’t the original owners? Anybody know?

    LOVE LOVE LOVE Roanoke Bagel. And they are good people too!! They have a great staff, great customer service, and the best bagels and cream cheeses. Excited to visit their new place!
