So…Blacksburg isn’t yet up to it’s 1 FroYo spot for every 12 residents quota?

That’s right Kristen, right next to the new BoneFish Restaurant

The owner and team leader of the Valley View ChikfilA, Bob Childress and David Duncombe, respectively, distributed FREE water and iced tea to the protestors outside their restaurant on Friday.

When people talk disparagingly about ‘Christian values’, the mistake they make is assuming that the values of a few reflect the values of the whole. Just as if people were to claim that those who vandalized some of the nationwide ChikfilA restaurants reflected the overall values of the LGBT community.

The absolutism is what drives message board posts, and inhibits the progress of this nation.

A new Sweet Frog in Blacksburg? I haven’t even visited the one in Christiansburg, yet! lol :) Just wondering … does anyone know anything about the El Rodeo in Christiansburg? It’s in the old Famous Anthony’s building, near Crab Creek. I’ve seen the El Rodeo sign on the building for a long time, but all of the windows are covered and they’re never open.

cr, what does that have to do with anything, least of all this particular blog post? Are you just trying to stir something up?

In response to your “point”, though… I don’t think there’s a same-sex couple in the world who would trade their right to marry for water and iced tea. That empty gesture does nothing to erase the hatred for which Chick-fil-a now stands. They chose to get up on a soap box and preach, they can’t expect to deflect the issue with free beverages.

I thought a frozen yogurt shop was coming to downtown Salem near Farmer’s Market. Any idea what happened?

Hi Val, I will check on this for you. Thanks, Sheila
