Love me some Cook Out! Wish they would come to Martinsville too!
How embarrassing for Steak ‘N Shake.
Radford’s Cook Out opened earlier this year, and although I don’t care for their food it does seem they have given the local fast-food franchises a run for their money – in the last 2 months both the Burger King and the KFC just down the street have closed. Not sure if these are permanent closures, but it seems that the lower prices at Cook Out are having an impact here in the Radford area.
Off this topic, but…
Good News for DOWNTOWN SOUL restaurant fans: They have re-opened at 515 2nd Street in Vinton as of this morning! I have heard a lot of good things about the food while they were at their former Downtown Roanoke location and am looking forward to trying out their new location in Vinton!
Thanks JT! I will have more on Downtown Sould in this Sunday’s Retail Roundup column.
