This Saturday Valley View Mall will have a Mardi-Gras style party and parade to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Attendees of the Positively Pink Parade & Party are asked to dress up in their most outlandish pink attire, bring family and friends and take part in the procession through the mall in pink.
The event is in partnership with Carilion Clinic, Fox 21/27, Panera Bread, and Q99FM.
Here’s more information from a press release from Valley View:
The parade and party are designed to raise awareness of and remember those touched by breast cancer while celebrating the many survivors.
All proceeds and donations will go directly to the Every Woman’s Life program, which provides free mammograms to uninsured and under-insured women in the Roanoke Valley. With complimentary refreshments provided by Panera Bread, special discounts for participants and much more.
“Valley View Mall is thrilled to once again host this amazing event,” stated Louise Dudley, General Manager of Valley View Mall. “It provides such a positive, uplifting atmosphere and offers great support for the community. We invite everyone to come out, but positively remember to wear pink!”
On-site registration begins at 10:15am in the parking lot outside Panera Bread in The District at Valley View Mall. Participants who donate $10 will receive a party bag, which includes a Power of Pink ring, Pink Ribbon bagel from Panera Bread, a chance to win a Pandora bracelet from Fink’s Jewelers, and the first 300 registrants will receive a $10 Mall Gift Card.
The parade begins at 11am and will be followed by a party in the Panera Bread parking lot.
