@Chris: My source at Thalhimer said the sign was put up prematurely. I was by there today and it looked like the sign was down, but it might not be long until it is back up. As for the old Food Lion building on U.S. 220, the real estate agent selling that building said he may have some news in late February.

Wish they’d put a nice name brand outlet store there instead of a cheap shoe store. A person has to drive out of State to find any good outlets.

Publix would be great at for IVY mARKET SITE!!. HAVE BEEN THERE IN THE SOUTH AND THEY AREE GREAT! IF WE CAN’T HAVE HARRIS TEETER PUBLIX NEXT BEST THING!! AMANDA WHAT DID YOUR FRIENDS AT THALHIMER HAS TO SAY ABOUT IVY MARKET SITE? WHAT ABOUT 220 OLD FOOD LION SITE?

I’m so glad someone is finally making use of the old Blockbuster building. I was a bit disappointed to see that someone put up a new building in the parking lot right in front of a perfectly good existing space.

Amanda,I hear Publix Supermarkets is opening a duistribution center near Charloite, NC.Hope you can find out if they are coming to Virginia soon.Ukrops spot in Roanoke?? Who knows..
