A company that builds and remodels residential bathrooms and kitchens is moving from Roanoke County to Salem.
Better Bathrooms and Kitchens plans to leave its current showroom at Promenade Park on Electric Road and move into a free-standing building at 30 W. Main Street in Salem, said business owner Tracy White. The building formerly housed the Olde Salem Country Store.
The building is being renovated now to accommodate Better Bathrooms and Kitchen’s showroom, White said. He expects to move into the new building on Oct. 1. The Promenade Park store will remain open until the end of September.
White was a sales representative and manager for Better Bathrooms and Kitchens for six years. He bought the business a year and a half ago, he said.
White decided to move the business into a free-standing building because he eventually wants to purchase the property rather than pay rent, he said. He also said the new space and layout will provide a better opportunity for the business to showcase its abilities.
