There is only one place in Floyd where you can eat a wood-fired pizza and throw back a local craft beer while listening to live music.
That place is Dogtown Roadhouse, home to Sun Music Hall.
And for a while earlier this year, it looked like the pizzeria/bar/music establishment might close.
But a group of locals who recognized Dogtown as an asset to Floyd stepped in to save the business.
“They created a nighttime energy that we really didn’t have,” said Anga Miller, one of the six people who together formed a limited liability company to purchase the business from its original owners. “They really did a lot of great stuff that brought people to Floyd.”
