What’s this outfit’s signature piece? “My pocket square, every man needs one.”
Where to get it? “Davidsons here in Roanoke.”
Occupation: Medical student at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine
Age: 23
Location: Jefferson Street, Roanoke

What caught my eye: Coat and tie are pretty standard around lunch time in downtown Roanoke, but it was Sean’s boots that stood out. Many companies traditionally known for heavy duty boots have been redesigning some of their classic work boots into more streamline, modern versions for everyday wear. Boots like these are very popular this year. I believe these are Red Wing 200 Series boots.

A correction: The boots are Alden Indy boots, not Red Wings.
Nice picture!

@applky, didn’t ask what the boots were, so it was educated guess. The Alden’s and Red Wings have very similar styles.

tass, that’s the point of the whole retro movement to the ‘slim silhouette’. To have tight fitting dressier clothes. I personally find it off putting, but tastes vary. To me, anyone in jeans should reflect a relaxed level of clothing, not a restrictive one. As I said, though, to each their own.
IMO, a guy in those same jeans with a sport coat one size larger, and with shoes that didn’t announce themselves quite so boldly, well that guy would look impressive. Nothing against the subject, but whenever I see a pic of someone like that, I just think they’re trying too hard.
Again, tastes vary.
