What caught my eye: Tamara’s bright yellow jacket against the dark red backdrop of Fire Station No.1 would be hard to miss and was one of those meant-to-be moments. She mixed so many great elements pretty effortlessly — wool pants (a popular fabric this winter), animal print (which made its biennial comeback last year), and a bright color, which is looking to be “it” thing this spring and summer. Her million-dollar smile didn’t hurt either.

LOVE this outfit! Is the jacket leather?
Pretty cute! Just goes to show you can be 50 and dress (and look) amazing! And you weren’t kidding about her million dollar smile! My only criticism would be I think the wide leg on the pants leaves her looking a little unbalanced. She looks slim enough to have been able to pull off a more fitted leg like in flare or bootcut. But overall still a very cute outfit! (love the necklace, too!)
I’d like to see more outfits (and people) in Roanoke like this one. Fewer students in Blacksburg. There’s is nothing wrong with students, but their style doesn’t interest me. Thanks!
@Meghan, not 100% sure. Though stores like Charlotte Russe surprise me with the real deal every now and them.
@Jessie, I’m actually a huge fan of the high waisted wide leg pants on ladies. My only rules are tuck in your top and wear heels, properly hemmed of course. I think visually more of a side view shows off a persons silhouette best in this style pants, which is why I like them so much. That’s my fault not thinking of it when I took the shot.
@Babs, I agree. As I’ve said many times though, I rely on foot traffic. If those fabulously dressed over 35 never go out and about, downtown Roanoke or in Blacksburg, I’ll never run into them.
Great jewelry,hair,smile,outfit and energy!
She is beautiful, mother of 4, and MY neice !!!!
wonder if she’s single.
To me, the care one takes in one’s wardrobe says no more than the care one takes in other aspects of presentation. And in the modern world, we sometimes make impressions through all sorts of media that do not even involve our wardrobe. So, while I really like this blog, and her outfit is one of the best yet, I don’t mean to be an AGENT of misplaced criticism, but I’m AGAINST misspellings that are completely, not just a little wrong.
@Pete… Not sure what your talking about at the end there, but I’m glad you like the blog.
Since it has been corrected, I’m glad I helped, even with the disingenousness of saying you don’t know. I won’t hold it “agents” you.
You nerds need to stop freaking out over grammatical and spelling errors. It takes away from the point of the articles.
Cool jacket! Wish she was wearing fitting pants, but I like the color coordination
Holy smokes… what a beautiful woman! I hope I look like her when I’m 50.
That’s Katie’s mom!!! Hi Tamera! I was looking back thru style street and saw you! You are looking beautiful as usual! I miss seeing you at Jimmy’s!
