What caught my eye: The weather has turned quite cold since I posted my last photo. Vera wasn’t compromising her style due to lower temps and is taking on the chill in style. Key points for me? Leggings and a great cardigan with embroidered seal to stay warm, paired with open-toe red espadrilles that hold onto summer just a little longer.

GORGEOUS!!!! I love her mix of season0traditioning style!
That’s our ‘little’ girl! Thank God she takes after her mother….
She looks lovely! Ready to study in Leyburn with that outfit. Super cute.
I love her look. Very cute.
This reminds me to ask a question that’s been on my mind lately. At what point in the season are open-toed shoes considered out of season? Is there some hard-and-fast rule or does it just depend on the weather and ground conditions?
I’ve been shoe-shopping lately and see a lot of peep-toe pumps, which makes me think they’re OK for fall and maybe winter, too.
@Lindsey Nair, good question. In transitional months, feel free to wear whatever shoes you please. Once the colder months set in, weather and ground conditions should be your tell-tail for going open or closed in colder months, If its wet out stick to your closed toed shoes. Strappy shoes I think should be avoided outside of special occasions, say the company Christmas parties. Class it up by going bare legged and wear a very warm, very long over coat to hide your outfit till your ready to show it off of course. Peep-toe shoes, unless its snowing, below freezing or a torrential downpour, wear them all year long. Just remember to wear toe-less hosiery with your peep-toes heels.
Eww…David, 1) it is “tell-tale” but what I really wanted to say is…
2)Bare legs?!? For a special occasion?!? CLASSY?!? I really hate that young ladies today don’t feel it is worth the wrestling match to finish an ensemble. I’m only 32 and still feel like pantyhose are a must for office attire/job interview/special occasion situations. I see young ladies on campus going to jobs fairs wearing suits with no hose and it is *shudder* gross.
@Sara, yes, tale not tail, my bad. When I was in the Air Force, ladies were required to wear pantyhose and I do see it’s place in the workplace and job interviews. I’m not against pantyhose but why spend all that time shaving and not go bare. listen, I don’t brag publicly often but I have amazing legs and If I were a lady I’d show them off as often as possible, just saying. I guess my point is I’m pro bare legs but have nothing against hose, just remember to get the toeless pantyhose if you wear them with open toe shoes.
Not a fan of espadrilles in the Fall at all.
you fall off a cliff? where the heck are the posts??
Any possible way to get someone new? Vera’s pretty but she’s been on here for weeks!
She is cute, and she knows how to put together a great look!!
