Fun and learning in store at the library

The Roanoke County Headquarters Library has a lot of opportunities to offer in April. Computer classes, clubs and a bus trip to Poplar Forest are all on the calendar.

Enigma Book Club
Join the Enigma Book Club on April 3 at 6 p.m. and discuss "The Amulet of Samarkand" by Jonathan Stroud.

Friends of the Roanoke County Library Annual Meeting & Dinner
Come April 11 at 6:30 p.m. for a free dinner and preview of the book sale. All members of the Friends are welcome.

Book Sale Fundraiser
Support the Roanoke County Public Library system April 12-17 during normal library hours. A huge selection of books, paperbacks, music CDs, videos, and DVDs will be available for purchase.

Story Times
Bring your kids beginning the week of April 14 to any county library for story time. Preschool Theme is "Pets." Afternoon Antics is "Around the World."

“Fourth Thursday” Adult Book Club
Come to either the morning (10 a.m.) or evening (6 p.m.) club on April 24 and discuss "The Rope Walk" by Carrie Brown.

Bus Trip to Poplar Forest
The Roanoke County Friends of the Library will be sponsoring a bus trip to Poplar Forest, VA, on May 3 to see “An Evening of Conversation” with Thomas Jefferson and Dolley Madison. The cost is $50 for members of the Friends; $60 for non-members. 5 - 10:30 p.m.
