Cave Spring Baptist will mark National Day of Prayer Thursday

On Thursday May 1, all over the world, folks will be participating in the National Day of Prayer. Cave Spring Baptist Church will be opening beginning at 6 a.m. on Thursday for individuals to come and pray.

The church will also host a prayer vigil service at 6 p.m. to conclude the day.

Cave Spring Baptist Church is located at 4873 Brambleton Avenue.

This is the 57th Annual National Day of Prayer always held on the first Thursday of May. The theme for this year is "Prayer! America's Strength and Shield" based on the verse from Psalm 28:7, "The Lord is my strength and shield; my heart trusts in Him and I am helped."

The National Day of Prayer Task Force's mission is to communicate with every individual the need for personal repentance and prayer, mobilizing the Christian community to intercede for America and its leadership in the seven centers of power: Government, Military, Media, Business, Education, Church and Family.
