June 24, 2008Pizzazz Star City Twirlers place in Virginia State Championship Pizzazz Star City Twirlers under the direction of Joan Duus won five first and three seconds in Team Competition at the Virginia State Championships this past weekend. The contest was held at the Arthur Ash Center in Richmond and 45 teams competed in numerous categories. Pizzazz are the 2008 State Champions in the Half Time Show, Pom Pom Team, Tiny Tot Dance Twirl, Juvenile Dance Twirl & Senior Twirl Team.
