Hidden Valley volleyball JVs fall to Franklin County

swoco_hiddenvalleyjvvolleyballSMALL.jpg

It was a split decision down in Franklin County night. The Hidden Valley varsity volleyball team won 3 games to 1, as reported on the sports pages of today’s Roanoke Times.

Unfortunately for the Titans, the junior varsity team lost — 15-25 and 20-25. Their record now stands at 1-2.

Coach Aaron King tells us: “Our team is young this year but we have a lot of talented players. The girls are still getting to know each other and working to become more comfortable on the court. Once that happens I think we’ll be playing some really good volleyball.”

The next Hidden Valley volleyball game is Tuesday at Lord Botetourt High School at 6 p.m. The Cavaliers lost yesterday to Glenvar, by the way. We have a report on that game here.

As always, if you have news or photos involving teams or players from Southwest Roanoke County — whether varsity, junior varsity, middle school or rec league — you can share them at news@swo-co.com.
