September 3, 2008Republicans to hold convention "watch party" Thursday nightRoanoke Valley Republicans will hold a convention "watch party" on Thursday night -- Sept. 4 -- at the Holiday Inn-Tanglewood. They'll make phone calls on behalf of the McCain-Palin ticket starting at 7 p.m. and then watch Sen. John McCain make his acceptance speech on television. Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Roanoke County, is scheduled to appear at the party, as well. On Wednesday September 3rd there will be a Convention Watch and Volunteer Party at The Parlor Ballroom, 900 Main Street – Lynchburg, Virginia to make phone calls on behalf of our entire Republican ticket and then watch Governor Sarah Palin give her Acceptance Speech. Volunteers will begin making phone calls at 7pm and will continue to volunteer throughout the night leading up to the Acceptance Speech.
