Chase McDaniel (a CSMS 8th grader and former Hidden Valley Youth Wrestler) got the better of Dermont on this day. Chase got the take down, then Mason sat out, but Chase followed, then Mason sat out again – but he had his hips off of the mat and was pushing back and Chase just snapped his shoulders back and then later switched to a half and pinned him right as the period was about to end. In Mason’s final round he shook off the loss and had a 1st period pin against a Quick Pin grappler.
