A new location for Tuck Chiropractic opened up on Monday, March 23, at 3538 Electric Road at Promenade Park. A ribbon cutting is schedule for April 10 at noon but the new location has already began accepting clients.

Dr. Craig Camidge is the new chiropractor at the Promenade Park location. Dr. Camidge earned his BA in chemistry from Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY and graduated summa cum laude and valedictorian from New York Chiropractic College in 2008. Dr. Camidge is a member of the Virginia Chiropractic Association, the American Chiropractic Association, and the American Public Health Association.

“This is a great location to be,” Camidge said. “It’s a high traffic area and Southwest Roanoke County is the place to be. Dr. Tuck’s goal is to be where he can impact as many people as he can. So far, it’s going well. We are starting a clinic from scratch so we started out with zero patients.”

Tuck Chiropractic currently has nine locations including the one at Promenade Park and the new location is located where Once Upon a Child used to be.

“At Tuck Chiropractic, our number one priority is patient satisfaction. Our patients routinely tell us this is the best chiropractic experience they’ve had. We have a 90 percent patient satisfaction. Happy patients are happy patients and that is what we do.”

Camidge is the only chiropractor at this location, but said they hope to add another as they grow.

“We have the ability to run off the knowledge of all clinicians. We can routinely discuss situations,” Camidge said. “I’m very excited to see it grow. The people here are the nicest I’ve met in all the places I’ve lived.”

Camidge grew up in the Adirondack Mountains in New York and graduated from Hartwick College in 2008. Camidge moved to Roanoke with his wife and his dog and chose the area for the mountains.

“I do feel very luck for this opportunity. We are so happy to have moved to this area. We run a professional chiropractic office and I get to work for a well established company. I’ll do whatever I can to help my patients,” Camidge said.

Tuck Chiropractic Clinic offers chiropractic manipulative therapy and utilize spinal x-rays, physiotherapy, neuromuscular re-education, and therapeutic exercise. Their mission is to provide, to serve and to give.

The clinic is complete with an adjustment room, consult room, several private therapy areas, examining room.

Tuck Chiropractic Clinic originally opened in Pulaski in September of 1979 by Dr. Nathan Tuck. As the clinic began to grow Dr. Tuck acquired the Galax office from the Bowie family in 1982. Several years later, Dr. Tuck, Sr. opened a new practice in Fairlawn in 1990, one in Christiansburg in 1993, Blacksburg in 1998 and Hillsville in 2001. Dr. N. Ray Tuck, Jr. joined Tuck Chiropractic Clinic with the opening of the Blacksburg office. Dr. Tuck, Sr. died in 2005 and Dr. Tuck, Jr. took over all of his father’s clinics. And in June 2007 the Becker Clinics became a part of Tuck Chiropractic.

The Promenade Park Tuck Chiropractic Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. with the exception of Thursday afternoon, and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Dr. Camidge said he is on call for all of his patients in case of an emergency. Tuck Chiropractic can be reached at 774-4443.
