The Miss Virginia pageant gets underway this week. On Sunday, Miss Roanoke Valley — crowned last fall in a pageant at Cave Spring High School — made her formal arrival at Hotel Roanoke.

She did so accompanied by an entourage of motorcycles.

Thunder shook the windows of that landmark hotel this afternoon as Lindsay arrived in a motorcade of FIVE roaring streetbikes, nearly drowning out the applause of her supportive local board. We are told that people in the lobby ran to the windows to see what was making the commotion. And the greeting Lindsay got when she stepped off the Harley was nothing short of a paparazzi moment. It was like a rock star and her band had arrived!

After her arrival at the Hotel Roanoke, Lindsay was confronted by a woman in the hotel restroom. “Who are you?” the woman wanted to know. “I’m Lindsay Morris,” was the reply. “No,” the woman persisted, “who ARE you? Are you somebody important with that grand entrance?” To which our queen answered, “I’m Miss Roanoke Valley.”
