Photos: Cave Spring Elementary School’s Back to School Night

Parents switched places with their students during Cave Spring Elementary School’s annual Back to School Night. Back to School night for Cave Spring Elementary was held at 7 p.m. at the school and parents were able to meet with their child’s teachers to find out what their expectations were this year.

Here are some of those moments. To view photos, clickon the slideshow above, or view the gallery by clicking here.

Photos: North Cross Orientation

North Cross students were introduced to their classrooms and their teachers on Thursday, August 27 during orientation. Muffins and coffee were available to those who attended while teachers gave their incoming students a tour of their respective classrooms and other important places the student must know for the start of the school year.

We captured some of those moments. View them above in our slideshow, or for a more traditional view, check out our gallery here.

Photos: Faith Christian School’s Back to School Night

Faith Christian School changed it up a bit during their Back to School night on Thursday, August 27 beginning at 5 p.m. Parents met with teachers and faculty in the great room and were given their children’s schedule. Then the parents traveled from class to class and were able to speak with their student’s teachers and learn more about the classes their children are participating in.

Check out what we captured during Faith Christian’s Back to School event above in our slideshow or for a more traditional view, check out our online gallery here.

Another photo gallery from Hidden Valley-Patrick Henry game

We have a second photo gallery from Friday’s Hidden Valley – Patrick Henry football game.

This one comes from Kyle Green of The Roanoke Times, and you can view it here. One of the photos in it is the one at left, of David Williams running for a touchdown.

Earlier, we posted a photo gallery by Garland Gay – and band director David Atkins also shared a gallery of the band at the game. Plus, we have video highlights from the game, too.

Do you have photos from the game? Or anything else involving people or events from Southwest Roanoke County? If so, you can share at news@swo-co.com.
