Hidden Valley Middle School Mathcount team competes in national competition

Mathcount is a nationally recognized competition for middle school students. This year (2010) the regional competition for South West Virginia was held at Viginia Polytechnic Blaksburg on 20th Feb 2010. Hidden Valley Middle School became champion for the first time.

The team members were Arsalan Khan (grade 8), Chandan Reddy (grade 8), Sreeroopa Som (grade 6) and Sreyas Hirway (grade 8). They will now go to Richmond for the state chanpionship.  Arsalan was also the individual champion in written round. Sreeroopa was also the champion in count down round and second placed in written round.
